Yes, there is a first time for everything and for everyone from the time we are born. Our first steps, being a mum or a dad for the first time, taking your first photo with a professional camera, and, of course, photographing a new born baby for the first time. What I learned from this experience was that knowledge about light and knowing your camera settings are only just a tiny part of photographing a new born. There are are lot of factors to take into consideration: Time of day, was the baby fed, burped? Nap times, changing times, mood of the mum. Everything counts. Every details is important and I was glad I prepared before hand to take some of these shots. It is not an easy job to do, but one you can prepare to a certain degree beforehand. My last session with Deyana and her newborn baby Alexandra, was filled with joy, and oh boy, I can tell there is an abundance of love in her family towards little Alexandra. This girl certainly has a great start in life with her two dotting parents and her beautiful grandmother which I also had the pleasure to meet. When booking a newborn photoshoot, never be in a hurry, unexpected things do happen, expect the unexpected, take your time, bring patience and let things flow as they come and somehow I’m glad I followed my own advice. But even happier that this young family also loved the work I provided and now they have beautiful memories that they will cherish for a very long time. Thank you Deyana for trusting in me to create these memories for you. xx |
